How this differs from every other swap site.

It is a barter site, not a marketplace with a swap button.

There is no price field anywhere, no balance, no credit and no currency. A trade is goods for goods. If the two sides do not quite balance, a small extra item closes the gap — never cash.

You never set your own value.

We work out a band from what the thing is, how worn it is and how many people are currently after one. That is what stops a swap marketplace turning into a negotiation where the pushier person wins.

The match has to work both ways before you see it.

You are not listing into a void and fielding offers. We only propose a swap when you want theirs and they want yours, which is why there is no inbox full of people offering you things you do not want.

Two people, both of whom agreed.

Every trade here is between exactly two parties. We do not run circles or chains. Once you both accept, a 48-hour window opens and the swap only completes when you have each confirmed you received what you were expecting.
