A finished set has already given you the best part of itself. Somebody else has a box they have built twice and a shelf where yours would go, and swapping is how both of you get a new evening out of it.
Swapping a set you have already built
Say the set number. It is the one piece of information that turns your listing from a photograph of bricks into a specific thing somebody can search for, and it answers half the questions before they are asked.
Be clear about completeness, because it is what a builder most wants to know. Sealed, complete with instructions, complete without the box, or built and missing a handful — each of those finds a different and equally happy home.
Loose bricks are a listing in their own right. Sorted by colour or by part type and weighed, they are exactly what somebody mid-build or building something of their own is hoping to come across.
Photograph the built model from two angles, or the sealed box from the front and the seals. Give the set number, say whether the instructions and minifigures are there, and then say which set or theme you would like to build next.

Yes. Plenty of builders would rather take a completed model straight to the shelf, and plenty more are happy to pull it apart and start again. Say which it is and let them choose.
List it and say which pieces. Builders with spares think in terms of what they can complete, and an honest note about what is missing is what lets somebody say yes with confidence.
